Process Monitoring and Inspection Equipment

The Modal Shop offers low-cost solutions for process monitoring and inspection applications in high volume, high quality applications. TMS offers an NDT-RAM system that is specifically designed for high volume metal parts requiring 100% inspection. Systems are currently in place in automotive, aircraft, heavy construction, medical and consumer industries. The NDT methodology can consistently identify critical internal and external defects such as out of tolerance physical dimensions, voids, cracks, and changes in material density. The NDT-RAM system is available in bench top as well as fully automated high volume configurations.

Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW) sensors

Sengenuity manufactures sensors utilizing Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW) technology. This technology allows them to offer a battery-less, completely passive, wirelessly interrogated, temperature measurement system capable of tracking temperature at multiple locations with a single wireless reader. They also offer a revolutionary fluid condition monitoring sensor. This sensor is able to provide a real-time measurement of the viscosity, dielectric constant, conductivity and temperature of oils and other fluids. It is designed for low cost OEM and end-user applications.

Electric Motor Evaluation

The PdMA off-line and on-line systems can evaluate all six of the critical motor fault zones: power quality, power circuit, insulation, stator, rotor, and air gap anomalies. PdMA systems can evaluate AC and DC motors. The systems are easy to use and come with lifetime technical and data analysis support.

Corona discharge detection

Ofil Systems develops and manufactures devices that can detect and quantify corona discharge that result from partial insulation failures. This capability provides a new reliability tool for combating the deterioration of critical insulators, conductors, and fittings that are crucial to maintenance of high voltage transmission lines, substations, and switchgear equipment throughout the power transmission and distribution network.

Through-valve loss detection systems

Mistras Group manufactures state of the art through-valve loss detection systems for isolating liquid, gas, and steam leaks of any size in any kind of valve. The technology operates at frequencies much above traditional ultrasonic equipment, which is not well suited for making through-valve leak measurements. The new Mistras system is specifically designed to provide compliance with the new EPA CFR 98.234.5 regulation that requires through-valve leak quantification measurements.

Ultrasonic Detection

The Superior Signal multi-function ultrasonic detection unit is ideal for finding air and steam leaks. The low cost units require no training and employ their patented “DND” technology.
